Game Athen: Destiny: The Taken King is just over one week away, which means the shared-worlds shooter is going into preparation mode ahead of the big launch.
As part of these preparations, Bungie has announced that there will be no Daily Heroic missions, Weekly Heroic Strike or Nightfall Strike for the week of September 8 through September 14. We had a similar downtime ahead of House of Wolves earlier this year, so it’s not unexpected.
There’s some compensation, though; the Destiny 2.0 update arrives on September 8, when we’d normally expect the weekly update to drop, and brings with it a huge stack of changes to explore, as well as a PvP preview week for those who fancy the new Crucible content.
Daily and Weekly activities will resume when The Taken King launches on September 15. However, as you may recall, it brings changes: Dailies will be account-bound, so you only have to do them once, and there’ll be no more Weekly Heroic – the Vanguard Heroic Strike playlist will replace it. Don’t worry though, there’ll still be plenty of ways to earn Strange Coins.
