Game Athen: Venerable football series Pro Evolution Soccer may be making the leap to free-to-play.
PES fans take note: the Australian Classification Board appears to have outed something pretty interesting.
A new title called Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Free to Play has popped up on the board’s database, having been awarded a G rating.
The listing doesn’t give any platform information, unfortunately – not even the “multi platform” descriptor which is usually applied. We can pretty safely assume this will be a digital-only release, obviously.
We’ve contacted Konami’s Australian distributor, which makes its Classification applications, and will report back with any information received.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 launched on PC, PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in September. The series has a staunch fanbase but is regularly outsold by rival FIFA.
