More bite-sized pieces of information regarding the contents of Final Fantasy 15 have been handed out by director Hajime Tabata.
In a NicoNico livestream this week, per Siliconera, Tabata said the main Final Fantasy 15 scenario will take around 50 hours to complete, where as previous estimates had it at 40 hours. This is due to the game having “more volume” than originally planned.
The team isn’t working on the final stages of balancing, but at present making optimal balances. A frame rate of 30fps is the goal, but there are times where it “breaks 30.” Adjustments and optimizations will be made up to the day it goes gold.
Should the team be unable to provide a fixed rate of 30fps, the team will “do something different.” Tabata said the resolution will be revealed during the Final Fantasy 15 event in Los Angeles next week.
Elsewhere in the stream, Tabata touched up the Airship slightly, but only said the team decided long ago how it would introduce it into the game. He also said Cactuars will make an appearance, and that they are very powerful and able to dodge Shift Breaks.
As previously reported, more information on the game as well as release date will be provided during the Uncovered: Final Fantasy 15 event March 30-31. A playable tech demo will also be shown at the event.
Earlier this month, sources close to Gematsu pegged the game for a September 30 release.
Final Fantasy 15 is slated for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Square is “working to make” PlayStation 4 bundle option.
The game will also be localized in Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
