The Division has a new meta, and it’s a little bit broken.
The Division Underground added a couple of new gear sets, but are they worth your time?
Resident The Division expert Arekkz is here to help, with a review of the Reclaimer set. It’s easy to overlook this gear set if you’re only thinking about DPS or if you tend to play alone, but on closer inspection this thing is ridiculously deadly.
The two piece set bonus on Reclaimer is a 100% bonus to Support Station healing speed, which is already delicious; see how much more effective it is in the video above. The three piece set bonus provides a 50% bonus to consumable duration, which includes buffs like water as well as special ammo types. That second one might not seem like a big deal (how many The Division players remember to use consumables?), but read on.
The four piece set bonus, the eponymous Reclaimer, applies consumable and special ammo effects to the whole group rather than just the user – and gives you an infinite supply of any consumable you’re carrying.
As if that weren’t enough, buffs supplied by a Reclaimer stack with a player’s own consumables – or other Reclaimer’s buffs – so you can end up with multiple ammo types and buffs in play at once.
Towards the end of the video you’ll hear some tips on how to reduce the cooldown on consumables and special ammo so that you end up with almost permanent buffs.
So, yeah: that’s pretty powerful. Any The Division team with a Reclaimer on board has a significant advantage in PvP – and it’s not useless for solo players, either, as you’ll hear in the video.
You’d better get it before it’s nerfed, then; we fully expect the next major The Division patch to rebalance this beast. Although Reclaimer will drop in the Underground, the rate is pretty low. Look for it in the Dragon’s Nest incursion, at Dark Zone bosses and supply drops, and rarely in Heroic missions.
Now that you have the perfect team gear set you’d better find the perfect team. The100 will sort you right out.
