Arca’s Path is an abstract VR puzzler set in a gorgeous, alien landscape. Funded by Rebellion and developed by a team of VR veterans, it could be a winner.
Playing as a woman trapped within some kind of dreamscape, you must tear down the walls of Arca to break back through to reality, using skill, intelligence, and reflexes to progress.
It’s developed by Dream Reality Interactive, a studio set up by Dave Ranyard, former director of Sony’s London Studio.
As well as Ranyard, the development team also includes Albert Bentall (who worked on London Heist) and Anna Hollinrake (BAFTA breakthrough artist 2017 and all-round good egg).
Here’s the teaser trailer:
Arca’s Path will use an intuitive control scheme that requires no physical controller at all, presumably working mostly with head movement.
You can play Arca’s Path later this year on PlayStation VR, Steam VR, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, and Gear VR.
