Gears of War 5 was announced today during Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2018 briefing.
In development with Gears of War 4 studio The Coalition, Gears of War 5 will be released on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
The Xbox E3 2018 announcement isn’t a surprise at all, considering a Walmart Canada listing leaked it in May.
As Kait, players can play solo or with a friend in local split-screen co-op, or online co-op and experience every mode in 4K Ultra HD resolution at “a smooth 60 frames per second.”
Like its predecessor, Gears of War 5 is a Xbox Play Anywhere title, playable across Xbox One and Windows 10 accounts. It will also be made available on Xbox Game Pass when it releases.
It’s out in 2019.
