Fortnite’s Battle Royale gameplay is about to get a little deadlier in a “you smelt it” kind of way.
Epic Games has done an impressive job of frequently adding new content to Fortnite, from new sniper rifles to shopping carts. Now the game is getting ready for a brand-new weapon, but something smells a little off about this one.
Which is the entire point – Epic is adding a Stink Bomb to Fortnite’s inventory.
A new Fortnite update lists a Stink Bomb item as “Coming Soon.” According to its description, this weapon “explodes into a cloud on impact and slowly [damages] anyone inside”. The update was first spotted by the game’s Reddit community.
There’s still a lot we don’t know about the Stink Bomb. It’s not clear the weapon’s thrown range, radius, or overall visibility Epic removed smoke bombs from the game for that exact reason). All the same, new items in the Fortnite update feed usually arrive a few days later. If that holds, you’ll be able to try it soon for yourself.
