Metroid Prime: Federation Force adds amiibo support

Nintendo of America revealed the game’s amiibo compatibility with two tweets. The first showed Mario and Bowser paint jobs, which can be used in the game’s multiplayer Blast Ball mode.

The game’s compatibility with the Samus and Zero Suit Samus amiibo sounds a bit more substantial – Nintendo are promising ‘helpful in-game upgrades’ during the campaign.

The Zero Suit Samus skin is a bit non-descript, but regular Samus is well represented here.

Fan interest in Metroid Prime: Federation Force has been low, although producers have tried to assure fans that it is a proper Metroid experience.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force launches on the 3DS on August 19 in America, September 2 in Europe and September 3 in Australia.
