Skyrim mods are still amazing. It’s 2016.
A Skyrim mod was waiting on the assignment sheet when I got in this morning, and I don’t know why.
It’s a pretty simple package, replacing the orchestral boss battle theme you hear in tough Skyrim encounters with one of two Stan Bush songs from the soundtrack to 1986 film The Transformers: The Movie. It seems equally likely to have been added by Sherif (keen on Transformers), Steph (keen on Skyrim) or Matt (deeply irreverent).
I don’t remember Dare at all, but you can listen to The Touch in the video embedded above – not that anybody above a certain age has ever been able to forget it. A perfect fit for Skyrim. Yes.
You can grab this Skyrim mod from Steam Workshop, and the description on its page also links to mods for each of the songs individually in case you only want one or the other. If you’d really like to enhance your experience, there’s one that replaces every piece of battle music with Stan Bush.
When you have this installed and have experienced its true majesty, there’s a good chance you will never wish to play Skyrim without it. Good news: the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition will support existing mods – just one of its myriad charms.
