There are a couple of tasty launches this week; as we click into the second half of August, the climb to release season begins.
One of the big ones is Metroid Prime: Federation Force, a co-op shooter for 3DS. it’s been controversial, as fans are desperate for a big new Metroid game, but deserves to be judged on its own merits.
For racing fans, this week is all about F1 2016. We can’t think of anything clever to say about that.
If you’re onboard Hitman strap in for a Thailand adventure as Episode 4 takes us to Bangkok.
In the digital realm, there are a couple of titles worth checking out, notably the beautiful PS4 exclusive Bound. On all three major platforms, look for Grow Up – the sequel to last year’s downloadable hit Grow Home.
That’s your lot this week. Looking further ahead? Check out our list of all video game release dates for 2016.
As ever, PlayStation Store release dates may vary depending on your regional store refresh cycle.
Delays and Miscellanea
Looking for 2064: Read Only Memories, the snazzy new console build of the much-lauded cyberpunk adventure? It’s been delayed to mid-September.
We’re not sure what’s going on with Ubisoft’s Uno. Originally due August 9, it was delayed to August 16 on PS4 and Xbox One – but is mysteriously absent from platform holder release listings. It might still turn up on consoles. The PC version is due sometime this quarter, apparently.
