By - Thursday, May 17, 2018

Fornite Solo Showdown Limited Time Mode has been announced, with more news on competitive play coming next week.

Epic Games has announced a competitive Limited Time Mode for battle royale, with Solo Showdown, kicking off today.

A datamine of the latest patch had players anticipating a competitive mode after the discovery of folder called Comp in the update, that contained a solo variant.

“Unlike other LTMs, Solo Showdown will not change core gameplay of the current Solo mode,” reads Epic’s blog post. “Instead, you will be placed against other self-selected competitors making this the ultimate test of survival.”

The standings will be continually updated throughout the duration of the event on the blog.
