Destiny 2 is kicking off its Year 2 announcements tomorrow, but offered a small tease for us today.
Bungie is already gearing up for Destiny 2’s second year, and current rumors suggest it will be a game-changer. The official announcement will arrive tomorrow, but for now Bungie is generating buzz with a tweet that teases two details:
Cayde’s arrival at the Reef, and the name of the Fall expansion: Forsaken.

The Reef is located in the solar system’s asteroid belt, and is the home of the Awoken player race. It was introduced in Destiny 1, and featured heavily in the House of Wolves and Taken King expansions. The Awoken have been fairly quiet in recent content expansions, although watching your monarchy blow up will do that to a society. Forsaken’s plot will probably feature some kind of renewed relationship between the Reef and the City as they rebuild from past disasters.
Bungie is keeping quiet on everything Forsaken-related, but we do know this expansion will be larger than Warmind in scope and introduces a brand-new Destiny gameplay mode.
You can watch the stream tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time.
